Visit to the West Coast

I took a trip to visit the West Coast with Senator Claire Chandler, Liberal candidate for Braddon Mal Hingston and Senate candidate Jacki Martin. Stops included Zeehan, Tullah, West Coast Council, and an opportuntiy to catch up with salmon workers.

HMAS Rankin Submarine

Along with colleagues I visited HMAS Rankin berthed near  Launceston to meet the Commanding Officer and Crew  and experience their working and living areas aboard, as well as to gain an understanding of Australia’s submarine capability.

I visited CUSP Building Solutions in Wynyard to look at their engineered value-added timber products sourced from sustainable hardwood plantations for timber construction of buildings and homes.

Visit to salmon industry Macquarie Harbour

I visited members of the Salmon industry on the West Coast of Tasmania at Strahan and on Macquarie Harbour with Peter Dutton and Premier Jeremy Rockliff, Senator Jonno Duniam and Gavin Pearce MP -  talking to the industry and local families whose livelihoods are supported by the industry.
